AR Level III Certified

Certified IYCA (International Youth Conditioning Assoc.) PJ Van de Rydt’s passion for sports is lifelong. His experience as both athlete and coach, as well as his commitment to sports excellence, proper athletic mechanics and training are the driving forces behind his career and Athletic Republic Norwood.

As a young athlete PJ excelled in baseball and football, and played in the Tom Yawkey Baseball league for three years. As a coach, he has guided many teams to the championship level and encouraged numerous young athletes to excel both on and off the field.

Precision Speed & Strength became Athletic Republic Norwood in 2009, and is now the premier sports training facility in Eastern Massachusetts, training hundreds of athletes each year.

PJ has been Head Football Coach at Westwood Middle School since 2008. He is also Head Coach of his son’s Youth Baseball and Flag Football teams.

Van de Rydt’s enthusiasm for football was the catalyst for him becoming an active participant in Football University (FBU), the top youth and high school football camp in the US. In 2010, PJ became FBU’s State Director and was instrumental in bringing the FBU camp from Western Massachusetts to Westwood High School. He started the first 7th and 8th grade FBU National Championship teams. The 8th grade team made it to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.
